SUMMER 2011 TIGER DARROW NEWS
In the past few months, backed up by her wonderful uncle, Allan Hayslip, on bass, Tiger has enjoyed gigs at the Kessler with Zoe Keating, Hunter Hendrickson, and Camille Cortinas, at Dan's Silverleaf with Bravo, Max!, Spooky Folk, and Jessie Frye, at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Patio Series with Cary Pierce, and at a fabulous house concert with Steve and Lobelia Lawson. She's done a cover shoot for Where Magazine's July/August edition, and begun production on a new video being shot by Brian G. Wilson.
Tiger's album, You Know Who You Are, is climbing the charts on NPR and college stations, and it's been fun to hear from folks who have heard her tunes on various stations across the country. Paul Slavens, of KXT 91.1 in Dallas, recorded a track by track interview with Tiger of You Know Who You Are for the radio show, Art and Seek which has been playing in towns around Texas.
Tiger has just returned from the East Coast where she enjoyed performing at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA with Red Wanting Blue, and Riley Ethridge, Jr. Tiger's performance benefited the Born Free Foundation. She then moved on to The Bitter End where she was met by an incredibly enthusiastic crowd, and had an amazing time performing at the iconic venue. She returns to The Bitter End in September. July 2nd Tiger headlined at The Kessler Theater in Dallas with openers Ruby Jane, and Lalagray.
Tiger departs for her first year at NYU at the end of August so be sure to check the calendar for shows through the rest of the summer!
